The British Snow Tour October 6th 2009

Monday 6th October - The British Snow Tour made its final stop of the series on Saturday 4th October at SNO!zone Glasgow for the Trespass British Snowboard & Skiercross Championships and Slopestyle Jam. The competition was fierce as riders went head-to-head in the four way races. The Schools Tour Team also proved to be a big hit in Glasgow with over 100 enthusiastic kids taking part in the FREE beginner lessons, courtesy of the Trespass Lessons Academy.

Trespass Snowboardcross Championships and Slopestyle Jam
The Trespass Snowboardcross Championships kicked off the snowboard competition on the Saturday morning with riders charging through the start gates and on into the head-to-head qualifying rounds, until only the fastest four male and female competitors were remaining. In the women&#8217;s final, Jules Chappell had the gold in her sights and accelerated out of the start gates, leading the entire race and over the finish line in first place, taking the 2008 Women&#8217;s Trespass Snowboardcross Title. Second place went to Jennifer Clarke with Riona Mary Peterson taking a close third. It was a tight race out of the start gates in the men&#8217;s final with all neck and neck until the first burm where three competitors spectacularly collided. The only kids men to make it through to the final, Tom Hunt, was quick to seize this opportunity and edged away from the pack to take the lead which he held through to the finish line to take the 2008 Men&#8217;s Trespass Snowboardcross Title, leaving Andrew Mackinnon and Gary Walsh to take second and third respectively.

Wakestock - Europes largest wakeboard music festival

What Is Relentless Wakestock?

Relentless Wakestock is Europe&#8217;s largest wakeboard music festival, combining the cultures of music and the world's fastest growing watersport in a weekend of high-octane excitement!

The festival began in Abersoch, North Wales back in 2000, when it was a wakeboard contest with a party in a car park for 800 people, and from then on it has grown to become one of the coolest most revered festivals in Europe playing host to some of the industries leading bands and DJ&#8217;s, along with the biggest wakeboard competition in Europe. 2009 is the festivals 10th birthday so make sure you book tickets to come join the celebrations!

Moby, The Zutons, Chase & Stutus & Red Light Company Announced As First Acts

The time has come to make our first announcements on acts that will be playing at Relentless Wakestock 2009. We thought to ease you in to the mass of awesome bands & DJs who will join our 10th birthday celebrations, we would announce 4 this week and the other 60 or so over the next month.

Our first headliner MOBY, with album sales well over the 20 million mark and songs like &#8216;Go&#8217;, &#8216;Porcelain&#8217; and &#8216;We are all made of Stars&#8217; amongst many others. Moby&#8217;s legendary live performances make him one of the world&#8217;s favourite festival artists.

THE ZUTONS were one the first bands we asked to be part of our 10th anniversary and will return to Abersoch for the second time after packing out our main arena in 2006. Their song &#8216;Valerie&#8217; is now legendary and &#8216;Why won&#8217;t you give me your Love&#8217; another top 10 single, both feature in their extensive festival set list.

On the D&B side, we are proud to announce CHASE & STATUS featuring PLAN B, TAKURA & RAGE. These guys are on the rapid rise to stardom. Tracks that have featured heavily on Radio 1 & music channels are &#8216;Pieces&#8217; and their latest &#8216;Against all Odds&#8217;.

Our final announcement is a band that are going to be big by July, fact! RED LIGHT COMPANY release their infectious single &#8216;Arts & Crafts&#8217; and album &#8217;Fine Fascination&#8217; on March 2nd. Get a copy and be ready for some serious sing-a-long anthems at Relentless Wakestock 09.

Relentless Action Sports & Music Festival NASS 2009 - 10-12 July 09 Bath & West Showground

<b>Welcome back to Relentless NASS Festival 2009!</b>

To purchase, goto <a href="http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/1F004192BD495665?brand=nass" target="_blank">Ticketmaster</a>

We were ecstatic with last year&#8217;s success and believe us when we say: That was just the start.

Put your hand up if you saw Webby smash up the braun spine as well as the best street course seen at NASS?

No, OK how about Chris Oliver winning the first of his double in skate events across the year?
Still no? How about Sam Tufnell acid dropping the rafters to elvis bank 3 times, breaking his leg and walking to collect his prize for best trick?
NO? I guess you were watching paint dry at home or summat. Too busy to watch the sick dirt bmx and mountain bike comps, Gary Taylors FMX back flips from NAM or the crew doing their thing in the UK slalom champs. Your loss!

For Skate/BMX entries please email <a href="mailto:nass@sportsvision.co.uk">nass@sportsvision.co.uk</a>
There is a cap on entries so make sure you do this now!

We have a bag full of ideas in the pipeline and are always looking for more to keep you entertained. Here is an idea of what will be going down so far.

<b>Mountain Bike</b>
The insanely amusing mountain bike boys will make a welcomed return. With the likes of Martyn Ashton and Grant &#8220;Chopper&#8221; Fielder hopping about last year, there will definitely be a new level of excitement this time round, if that&#8217;s at all possible!

<b>Roller Derby</b>
Crazed women in fishnets racing to be the best (google it, you won&#8217;t be dissapointed). Think roller disco meets WWF&#8230; oh yes!

<b>Slalom</b>
The UK champs went off last year with a new generation of side winding skaters showing the old boys how it&#8217;s done. They will be back to show you the roots of skating at its best.

<b>Parkour</b>
Parkour/ freerunning call it what you like really? This sport is taking off and so are the guys who pull it off. Expect some upgrades from last year and hopefully some interesting new obstacles!

For much much more... goto <a href="http://www.relentlessnass.com/" target="_blank">http://www.relentlessnass.com/</a>

Saltrock Open UK Pro Surf Tour (UK PST) 23 - 25 May 2009

<div align="center"><img src="http://www.extremesponsors.com/events/images/SaltrockOpen.jpg"></div>

<b>Saltrock Open</b>
Stop No 1 of 9 on 2008 UK PST
Croyde Beach, North Devon
23rd 24th 25th May 2009
<a href="http://www.ukprosurf.com" target="_blank">www.ukprosurf.com</a>

The first event on the 2009 UK Pro Surf Tour, the Saltrock Open scheduled to be held over the Whitsun Bank holiday weekend, at Croyde Beach, is fast approaching. The event will be held over the Saturday and Sunday of the busy weekend, 24th 25th May. Later than in previous years, therefore open to more surfers as they return from their winter training.

We will see surfers of all ages and abilities competing at the first major surfing event of the year. The venue for the event is Croyde Beach, one of Devon&#8217;s most celebrated breaks, possibly one of the best Beach Breaks in the country. This first tour pit-stop has grown in stature over the years thanks to epic and some challenging conditions also some heroic performances from the best surfers in the country.

<b>Saltrock</b> remain proud sponsors of this prominent leg of the tour, which will feature 4 main categories: Men&#8217;s Open, Pro-Juniors, Women&#8217;s Open and the Groms Tour. The Groms Tour includes 3 categories of its own; an Under-12s Open, an Under-16 Boys and Under-16 Girls. Saltrock are keen to maintain their support of young surfers and invest in the future of British surfing.

Saltrock has been a prominent part of the North Devon surfing community for over 20 years, and is again proud to be hosting a showcase event in their spiritual home of Croyde. This event will be the first of a nine event tour which spans the UK and Northern Ireland.

<div align="center"><img src="http://www.extremesponsors.com/events/images/SaltrockSurfGirl.jpg"></div>

Entries have been flooding in fast and as usual with this event all divisions will be full and include an international field of competitors. Last year surf conditions varied from two to four feet, the eventual winner of the Open was Mark Harris who narrowly defeated Matt Capel on a count-back. In the Women&#8217;s division it was Nicole Morgan who set the standard for the rest of the year, by taking out this event and then going on to win the tour title, only losing one heat in the process.

Angus Thomson MD of Saltrock said <i>&#8220;Saltrock is stoked to be sponsoring this event for the fifth year running and really pleased to be able to support British Professional Surfing in this way. All that is left to hope for is pumping surf and a blue sky for a perfect weekend.&#8221;</i>

UK Pro Surf Tour Director Dave Reed commented <i>&#8220;This is the eighth annual event we have staged in North Devon, each year it becomes bigger and better. With the support of Saltrock this year&#8217;s event will be no exception. We are eagerly looking forward to the start of the event and getting the UK Pro Surf Tour underway for 2009&#8221;</i>.

Relentless Energy drink will also be supporting the event giving £250 for the best Aerial of the contest and providing plenty of refreshment to keep the surfers going. Kingofwatersports.com will also be supporting the event giving away Sector 8 Skateboards to the highest scoring wave for the Men and the Women.

BHP Performance Show - May 4th 2009 Lydden Hill Race Circuit

<div align="centre"><img src="http://www.extremesponsors.com/events/images/bhp_performance_show.jpg" width="450" height="150" border="0" title=""></div>
<b>Following the huge success of 2008 the BHP Performance Show returns on May 4th 2009 bigger and better than ever!</b>

Just £12 is all it costs to attend the family event but what do you get for your hard
earned money, I&#8217;ll tell you...

Do you like drifting? We&#8217;ll we have it by the bucket load, we have drift demo&#8217;s on
our full circuit by top EDC, BDC, PRODRIFT and JDM Allstars drifters, drivers from
all four of the UK drifting Championship in one place for one day only!

See cars like SVAs legendary 350z on track and Boyzone celebrity <b>Shane Lynch</b> take to the wheel. But you want more???!!!... ok. How about the top 16 shootout for round two of the JDM Allstars 2009 season.

<div align="centre"><img src="http://www.extremesponsors.com/events/images/bhp_performance_show_car1.jpg" width="450" height="300" border="0" title=""></div>

Now if I said what a thrill it would be to do 150 mph around a race circuit with just a
3 inch gap between you and the road would you agree??? Well on the day you can see
the top drivers from the British Superkarts Championship and special guest drive,
British Touring Car Driver Paul O&#8217;Neill take to the circuit to demonstrate the pure
speed and agility of the vehicles.

You want more??? Ok...how about some the fastest sprint, rally, rallycross, and open
wheeled cars from the UK and Europe performing live demonstrations for almost
3hrs!! See the legend that is Ron from RK tuning and his team putting some of their
Time Attack cars through their paces, how about a racing pickup truck, the BEN 10
race team...

Ok so we all need a break from the action, how about a trade village with a
difference... In our trade village you won&#8217;t find wicker furniture or some guy selling
sunglasses, this is a car show so you will find leading names in the car industry,
including K&N, Invo Auto, NGK, Meister R, and Dodo Juice, so make sure you load
your wallet before you come! Be careful in the trade area though because Titan might
just try and have a dance or sing song with you... you best be ready for TITAN the
robot, As seen at Kent county Show, these robots are a main attraction for any family
event and are sure to impress all ages.
We pride ourselves on being one of the most family orientated shows in the UK so
expect to see children of all ages in the family childrens area full with bouncy castles
and face painting.

So you have got your adrenaline rush from the track, spent your money, let the
children have some fun, and now need to relax and maybe grab a idea or two for your
car you have at home in the garage. The BHP Car Club area is your needed
destination, this years show will see over 500 cars on display for your viewing
pleasure with clubs like the SKYLINEOWNERS, CRUISE-HERTZ, MLR, X2C,
SIDC etc but who will win the BHP Best Car Club award, will it be your club? we
will have to wait and see.

If your club is not coming you can still get your car on show, if you are stopped at the
gate by one of our car scouts you will be on show to and entered for all car related
prizes on the day, you may even win best car in show.

With many top prizes and awards to be won including best performance car and best
car in show this is going to be an event where anyone has a chance in winning a prize.
Over 15 trophies and awards up for grabs including a Special Edition Corbeau seat
made especially for the BHP show, also K&N, NGK, Nicky Grist Motorsport and
Dodo Juice will be providing all trophy winners with products to help enhance or
improve their vehicle.

But the big thing to remember on the day, Motors TV will be filming the whole
event(a first for the UK show scene) so what can I say there is only one show and one
place to be on May 4th, bank holiday Monday. The BHP Performance Show, Lydden
Hill Race Circuit, Kent. See you there...

The Oulton Park round is notorious for turning the BSB title race on its head, with photo finishes and dramatic clashes par for the course at this picturesque Cheshire venue. Last season this event gave eventual champion Shane Byrne the advantage when many of his rivals crashed out of contention, and Oulton Park frequently mixes up the battle for the crown.

HM Plant Honda&#8217;s Glen Richards is certainly a favourite heading in to Oulton Park after his spectacular win in the British Supersport Championship race here last season, overtaking rival Hudson Kennaugh around the outside at Lodge on the final lap. But then you can never discount the GSE Racing Yamaha team with Leon Camier and James Ellison hoping to secure the team their second consecutive title.

Ian Lowry stood on the podium here last season and after moving to the BSB class this season with the Relentless Suzuki by TAS team, he will be determined to make his mark, as will HM Plant Honda&#8217;s new recruit Josh Brookes. Tom Sykes took his maiden BSB win at Oulton Park and rookie Sylvain Guintoli will not want to settle for anything less than a race win for the Crescent Suzuki squad.

Gumball 3000 The 11th Annual Gumball 3000 Rally - 1st-8th May, 2009 -

The 11th Annual Gumball 3000 Rally -
1st-8th May, 2009 -
"Coast to Coast"

Following the success of the 10th Anniversary rally from San Francisco to the Beijing Olympics, including the "ground breaking" night in deepest darkest North Korea, Gumball 3000 has decided to go back to its roots in 2009, with a classic "coast to coast" road trip, from sea to shining sea; Los Angeles to Miami.

The 3000 mile route, incorporating stops in Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Santa Fe, Dallas, and New Orleans will embellish Gumball's core values of uniting people through popular culture and the language of the motorcar.

Showcasing 120 of the most fantastic cars ever built, including vintage, customised and luxury Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces, Aston Martins and Bugattis alongside America's finest muscle cars and today&#8217;s 'greenest' hybrid and electric vehicles of the future, the Gumball will create a spectacle for all to enjoy.

With crowds turning out last year in their hundreds of thousands to glimpse Hollywood's A-list participants and experience automobile heaven, when the Gumball festival comes to town in May 2009 the 'pomp and circumstance will also be fuelled with custom car displays and the added element of a live music series. Bands will be driving in the rally by day and performing live each night. Expect to see some major headliners and a few guest appearances as the tour unfolds!

For a taste of things to come, check out the highlights from 2008 on Gumball's YouTube channel and enjoy watching David Hasselhoff driving the original Knight Rider Trans Am (better known as KITT), Jackass's Bam Margera, Ryan Dunn and Loomis Fall in a 1960 VW Camper (complete with a Porsche 911 engine), supermodel Tyson Beckford and comedian Orlando Jones in a prototype Range Rover, the Playmate Dahm triplets in a McLaren Mercedes SLR, along with Alfonso Ribeiro (aka the Fresh Prince's Carlton Banks), pro skaters Bucky Lasek, Sal Barbier and Felix Arguelles, taking part alongside Middle Eastern Princes and Sheiks, Russian billionaires, and Europe's wildest rock stars.

ASP World Tour - Bells Beach,Victoria-Australia , Apr 7-18 - Rip Curl Pro

ASP World Tour Rip Curl Pro

ASP World Title Contenders Set Sights on Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach
BELLS BEACH, Australia (Thursday, April 2, 2009) &#8211; With the waiting period for the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach presented by Snickers under a week from commencing, the world&#8217;s best surfers are gearing up for an assault on one of Australia&#8217;s iconic venues.

Event No. 2 of 10 on the 2009 ASP World Tour, the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach will unveil a new format this season, pitting the ASP Top 45 in man-on-man elimination heats from the outset, providing a dynamic new element to this year&#8217;s hunt for the ASP World Title.

Joel Parkinson (AUS), 27, current ASP World No. 1, has been riding high since his explosive hometown victory at the opening event of the year, but the stylish natural-footer put the revelry on hold after a short while to concentrate on training for Bells Beach.

&#8220;After the Quik Pro, I spent two days partying with my family and friends, then got straight in to training the following week and for the last week or so I have been surfing non stop,&#8221; Parkinson said. &#8220;The waves have been insane! I think everyone is focused on doing well this season, and I am no different. If people are looking at what I am doing in terms of training or results, then that is up to them. Personally, I&#8217;m not thinking about anyone else. I am just focusing on what I do and how well I can do it.&#8221;

Having already &#8216;rang the bell&#8217; at the Rip Curl Pro in 2004, Parkinson understands what it takes to win out at Bells Beach, and he&#8217;s been lauded as one of the best to ever put foot to board at the venue.

&#8220;It&#8217;s a great high performance wave,&#8221; Parkinson said. &#8220;There&#8217;s nothing better than surfing the Bells Bowl in big waves and offshore winds.&#8221;

Considered an ASP World Title threat since his Dream Tour inception in 2001, Parkinson has come agonizingly close (finishing Runner-Up in 2002 and 2004), but has yet to hold surfing&#8217;s ultimate crown.

&#8220;My desire to win an ASP World Championship hasn&#8217;t changed since the day I started surfing competitively,&#8221; Parkinson said. &#8220;I suppose time and experience has allowed me to better understand the talent, discipline and commitment needed to get it done. However, as far how I will go about achieving it, all I do is make sure that I am better prepared today than what I was yesterday. It&#8217;s a simple strategy but it seems to be working.&#8221;

Kelly Slater (USA), 37, reigning nine-time ASP World Champion and defending Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach Champion, suffered a surprise Round 3 elimination at the opening event of the season, but the slow start hasn&#8217;t deterred the Floridian from his quest for an unprecedented 10th ASP Crown.

&#8220;I&#8217;m just looking to be engaged in what&#8217;s happening there and put in a good performance,&#8221; Slater said. &#8220;A 17th is not a big deal actually because anything less than a 5th doesn&#8217;t really measure into having a great season. I don&#8217;t really want to leave Bells with another 17th, so I&#8217;d rather try and earn another Bell.&#8221;

Towards the end of 2008 and at the opening event of 2009, Slater has been experimenting with his equipment, riding unconventional self-shaped crafts that have yielded results ranging from inspirational victories to shock 17ths. When it comes to the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, Slater keeps his ion guarded.

&#8220;I&#8217;m not sure what my choice is until I hit the water,&#8221; Slater said. &#8220;I like trying new things but I also like to win heats when I travel halfway around the world. You also have to stick with directions that you choose to go if they have potential for something. I&#8217;m still working things out. I&#8217;m not altogether unhappy with my performance on the Gold Coast, just the result.&#8221;

&#8220;Just look at who&#8217;s won and add a couple of guys who are hungry or with the potential like Adriano (de Souza), Dane (Reynolds), etc.,&#8221; Slater said. &#8220;Mick (Fanning), Joel (Parkinson), and Taj (Burrow) go without saying if you just watch all of their performances over the years there.&#8221;

Mick Fanning (AUS), 27, former ASP World Champion (2007) and past winner of the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach (2001), opened the 2009 season with an impressive equal 3rd and is on track to put in another strong campaign for the 2009 ASP World Title. With Bells Beach holding a special history for the ultra-fit natural foot, pundits are considering Fanning as one of the event favorites.

&#8220;For me, Bells is special because it was the first ASP World Tour event I won back in 2001,&#8221; Fanning said. &#8220;I was 19 at the time and surfing in the contest as a wildcard. I beat Danny Wills, one of my childhood heroes, in the Final, so it was huge moment for me. I think the thing that makes the Rip Curl Pro such a great event though is its history. It&#8217;s the longest running surf event in the world. It&#8217;s been going for 37 years, all the best surfers have won it and there&#8217;re hundreds of classic stories from the event.&#8221;

Parkinson, Slater and Fanning will all be seeded directly into Round 2 of the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach, along with the remainder of the ASP Top 16.

The Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach pres. by Snickers will its waiting period on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 running through Saturday, April 18, and will be web LIVE via www.live.ripcurl.com

The Rip Curl Women&#8217;s Pro Bells Beach presented by Ford New Fiesta will run in conjunction with Rip Curl Pro.

The BRITS Snowboard & Freeski Championships - March 28th 2009, LAAX Switzerland

"The Brit's is Glastonbury meets the FA Cup on snow, and that's one hell of a recipe for entertainment" - Ed Leigh, Ski Sunday, a.k.a. Satan Whoppercock, 3-time World Air Guitar Champion.

Celebrating its 20th Birthday this year, The BRITS is the most established winter festival in Europe. Over the past two decades, thousands of like-minded folk have descended upon The BRITS to join in the worship of all things snow and music, and score the best winter week of their lives... few leave disappointed!

The Award-winning resort of Laax, Switzerland is home to The BRITS and is famed for its world-renowned freestyle parks and stylishly designed resort.

You'll not be surprised to hear that the Swiss don't mess about when it comes to doing things well, but you will be astonished at how luxurious and yet affordable this snowy paradise is... and they know a thing or two about a good muesli as well!

In unique fashion, The BRITS is a coming together of snow fanatics, party people, professional athletes and budding amateurs. Where the UK's biggest show-offs compete for British titles and World-ranking points while the rest of us sit back and enjoy a well-earned afternoon wheat beer.

While the British Snowboard and Freeski Championships represents the highest level of competition for UK athletes, it is an open event where seeding is irrelevant and all-comers are welcome to test their skills against the best and make their mark on the British scene.
